What is Flippy Studio and how does it work?
Flippy Studio is a real-time live-synchronization platform that bridges the gap between modern 2D interface design tools like Figma and popular game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot. It eliminates the manual export-and-rebuild bottleneck by automatically translating UI designs directly into native engine hierarchies.
Which game engines and design tools are supported?
Flippy Studio currently supports synchronizing UI components directly into Unity (UGUI / UI Toolkit), Unreal Engine (UMG), and Godot. Additional integrations across other creative software and engine pipelines are continuously in active development.
How does the live synchronization pipeline operate?
Changes made to layouts, typography, color palettes, component states, and layer hierarchies in your design tool are reflected instantly in your game project via lightweight engine plugins. Flippy Studio selectively updates modified design parameters without overwriting scene structures or prefab configurations.
Will design updates break existing game logic or script references?
No. Flippy Studio maps vector assets and layouts directly onto native engine elements (such as Unity's TextMeshPro and Image components, or Unreal's UMG Widgets). When designers push visual updates, existing code references, bindings, event triggers, and gameplay logic remain intact.
Is Flippy Studio a cloud service or does it run locally?
Flippy Studio operates on a high-performance local desktop architecture to ensure ultra-low latency and complete data security. Your project files, design assets, and proprietary data stay on your local machine and never leave your secure internal environment.
How does it integrate with version control systems (Git, Perforce)?
Because all synchronized UI elements are generated as standard engine assets (prefabs, widgets, scene files), Flippy Studio is fully compatible with Git, Perforce, and SVN workflows. Team members can pull, build, and run the project without needing Flippy Studio installed on their individual machines.
